Friends

My friends are almost everywhere.

As far as I can see.

My friends are loyal as I am to them.

 

The bring me a basket of joy.

And I return with a bucket

They lift me up when I am feeling blue

And I lift them up what ever color they are.

 

When I have lost my friends,

I have lost myself.

When they are hurt,

I am hurt.

For they are apart of me,

As I am of them.

 

The Sun In My Life

FRIENDS POEM

Their luminous rays extend and yearn to reach

Beyond the barriers.

Deep into my untouched soul.

 

I hesitate.

Then the unthinkable:

Open up the gates

and let go of the past.

 

I am exposed. 

Sunlight is soft

and light on my skin.

But not yet past the blockade.

 

Take the ultimate risk?

Let the sun warm my heart?

 

The rays knock; they want in. 

They want to help and

Warm my heart as to show me

How the sunlight can change my life.

 

I want to choose. 

I want to let the sun

Pour in and melt away

The ice that froze over my heart.

Take away the unbearable chill.

 

Sunlight, I am ready.

Ready for the warmth,

Ready to open up

And ready for something so powerful

That it will never be forgotten.

Ready for you.

 

Sunlight, I am ready.

I am ready

for the friendship.

The friendship that

will change my life forever.

 

 

 

 

Goodtimes

The first time we met,

we knew we'd be friends.

Spending time together,

today, 'til the end.

 

The yellow line beneath our feet,

at the start held our mark,

it was you that I beat

that day at the park.

 

We were both really young,

but you made the scene,

as people stared long

the fight got louder and mean.

 

You ran home fast,

and I cried to mom.

We thought friendship would last

at least 'til High School Prom.

 

Well guess what, we were right!

A scrap would not intrude

Even if we had a fight,

it only made us shrewd.

 

Friendship is like glass,

treat it with class.

You could never have too many

There are many different kinds.

 

The ones who are outgoing,

There are some you like more,

Friends are someone you can turn to,

Friends to make you feel better,

They make you laugh to forget your sorrows.

 

If I could be anything,

Wanting to do that crazy stunt

Then the weekend comes

Sleepovers and sleeping in until twelve

Constantly calling people

Seeing what others are doing

Enjoying the weekend while it lasts

More staying up late

And more sleeping in

Not wanting to go to school

Putting off homework until later

Friends are what I live for,

Without them around,

Life would be dull

No smiles, no laughs,

No fun, no games.

A friend is special,

Whose laugh makes me laugh,

Whose joy brings me joy,

And makes me feel accepted.

 

Friends help me to understand,

They are always there for me,

And I am always there in return.

 

A friend lifts you up when you’re down,

Gives you comfort when you’re sad.

Life with no friends would be lonely,

There would be no smiles or laughs.

She’s there in my time of need.

We met at different places

And different times as well

But now we are all friends

And our friendship will last until the end

Some are big and some are small

But together we are quite a group

 Always hanging out at many different places

Including homes and parks and the beach

We will always stick together

When one of us is down the others pick them up

Sometimes we like each other and sometimes we fight

But even then we will defend each other against anything or anyone

I see them everyday and they see me too

whether we know it or not

Yet does not quite achieve its goal

For no matter how hard it tries

The first time i saw you my friend,

with your dorky little glasses

I knew that we would be best friends till the end

when I walked into class

I took my shy, first step and said, "will you be my friend?"

 

As you answered yes, I knew that this was a beginning

of something new and exciting

Like the feeling of winning

I knew that we would become close as fast as lightning

 

Some people wanted this to end

But they could not break this bond

We would always make amends

and be inseperable like a fairy and its wand

 

From toys to boys

and from  monkey bars to cars

We will make it last
