The Discriminated Age
By Ryan Denman
All around I hear adults saying things.
Oh your a teen you must be careful.
Oh your a teen I remember then.
This still annoys me.
Why do the think of us as foolish?
What do they think they are seeing?
The don't see us as one of them,
They think of us as a stupid being.
With all these ideas we get,
Maybe they see us as a threat.
We are scared and misunderstood.
We are the discriminated age.
A Message to All of Us
By Cooper Ehlers
All the parents dread us and they complain,
But we're not saints we complain twice as much,
Answers to questions always sound complaintive and annoyed,
most of the time they are,
but sometimes it just comes out in that way
All of our friends are changing too quickly,
But we're not stayin the same, we change at the same pace as they do,
Reckless, foolish they say but we are really just having fun,
Who cares? We have our morals and eventually we'll figure it out,
and this is a message to all of us:
They are only helping us not "ruining our lives",
But rather preventing that very thing.
Teens
By: Nicole Bartels
Teenage years are really fun,
in the summer we can just relax and lay in the sun.
We spend most of our time with our friends,
because we know they'll be with us 'till the very end.
We do some crazy stuff,
but hopefully not crazy enough to put us in hand-cuffs.
Teenage girls love to shop,
shop, shop, shop, until we drop.
Teenage boys could care less,
some of them would rather play chess.
Teens
By Kaitlyn Hafdell
Being a teenager is probably one of the best times.
You can hang out with your friends watch movies,
and you don't have to pay the bills yet.
You can sleep in on the weekends,
and not have to worry about working.
But being a teenager means you still have to go to school,
and still have to follow your parent's rules.
When your a teenager it shows that your halfway through school,
after high school,it's college, after college its work

Teens
Being a teenager is probably the best years of my life.
There are so many things I could do.
There are so many experiences I could experience.
There are so many things I could discover.
There are so many things I could start.
I could get my first job,
I could get my first pay check,
I could get my fist car,
I could get my first ticket,
I could start my own club at school,
I could send my first application to a college,
and I could do much, much, much more.
The Teenage Years
By Jesse Humphries
Being a teen is rough.
You go through many types of changes
And school gets very tough.
It’s not all about studies
We like to have fun
And hang with our buddies
Teens are not all the same
Yet we have one thing in common
We all want some kind of fame
It’s a growing, maturing phase
And we aren’t all alike
But we all deserve some type of praise
Being a teen isn’t all that bad
It’s got its ups and downs
When I turn twenty, I’ll be sad
I will remember these years for my whole life
Including the good and the bad
And someday, share the stories with my wife
My Teen Mind
By Carolina Paredes
"Young Adults" that saying you hear,
those words that makes you want to disappear.
Those tips you like to avoid and hate to listen,
but the innocence which makes your parents eyes glisten.
I’m way different that what’s expected,
but I wont be neglected only be respected.
While I ask my self so many questions,
I get this wild and crazy obsession.
While there are those "things" I won’t share,
it’s because of everyone’s hard, possessing glare.
Many more unsolved issues created in my life,
However I don’t need to make more of this strife.
Teens life although at times very pleasing,
Can look unappealing but can be appeasing.
Don’t get me wrong things go along
We grow strong to a place where we belong.
Teens
By Keira De Nicola
Grow and mature that is what we do,
Learning is also a part of it too.
We are oblivious yet we care what other people think,
There are popular kids, nerds, and jocks, some smoke and some drink.
We are the voice of the future, so lead us in the right direction,
We will never come to admit it but we need elders for our protection.
Quick to judge others about whom they hang out with and what they wear,
Global warming, wars over seas, most of us aren't interested or even aware.
The life of a teen, so amazing, yet odd,
At least we don’t stay teens forever, for this, I thank God! ☺
Teens
By Max Mendoza
After childhood and before adulthood
You are a teen
An adolescent
You are on top of the world
Doing whatever you please
No work or job
Only a little homework
The pressure
The peer pressure
Pressure to always succeed and triumph
Pressure in sports and school
These are the years most cherished
Know was the “best years” of your life
So instead of complaining or frowning
Cherish these moments like it’s your lasts
And live the “best years” of your life
Teens by Valerie Fernandez
It's a stage of firsts,
and many new experiences.
There are frequent mood swings and bursts,
that make their appearances.
Coping with problems,
inner and outer.
Solutions in columns,
just don't be a doubter.
During this time
you must stay positive,
it's your turn to shine
and become more cognitive.
Live for the good times,
and learn from the bad.
Avoid the hate crimes,
spread love, don't get mad.
What time is this?
The teenage years of course.
Enjoy them while they're still around,
and don't fall off your horse.
The Peaks of Teenage hood
Lauren Farello
The jagged peaks look uninviting
As my weak arm reaches up
And limply grips the glistening
White rocks
A new and exciting adventure-
It was supposed to be
The best time of my life
Oh, how wrong I was
My muscles tense and
My legs burn
Like a crackling December fire
Should I quit?
Save myself the pain?
Just the peaks overtake me?
But I’m not a quitter
I believe I can overcome
The treacherous mountain
The new confidence
Inspires within as I swing up
My lifeless arm to the next rock
The adrenaline rushes and
I keep at a steady pace
As I watch the peaks filled
With negative pressures
Slip away
Time flies before my
Very eyes as I slowly
Approach the golden rays
Of sun and glory
A smile crosses my face
As I think back to my
Decision to persevere
Because now,
It was all worth it
My choices before have
Led me to where I am today
My decisions today lead me to
Overcome my problems
And what I do next
Will lead me
Over the peaks of the mountain
Teens
By Emilija Stojanovic
Teens, deal with so much drama.
Going to school day after day.
So many difficult choices,
some good some bad,
our lives are like mazes,
one wrong decision,
and you're off of the right path.
Looking back at our childhood,
and looking forward to our future.
The mistakes we can make may be minor,
but other times they may be horrible.
The things we do now are so important,
They shape our futures.
We are the future.
Living our lives day by day,
trying to make the best of our short teenage years.
Teens
By Julia Rappaport
In between ages
Child and adult
Doesn’t act like a child,
Doesn’t want to be called a child
Doesn’t take the responsibilities of adults.
The time in between,
A time of fun and happiness.
A time to get ready to take responsibility
The good times
And the bad times.
The drama and friendships,
Everyone goes through,
In the time period called teenage years
Teenage years,
A time to learn from mistakes made.
But more importantly,
A time to have a lot of fun.
Teens
By Sophie Leahy
We’re stuck in the middle
Neither accepted by adults or children
And although it may be fun while we’re here
Before we know it we’ll all go our separate ways
In the mean time
There are ups and downs
Laughs and cries
And after it’s all over,
We’ll go on and start our new lives
And remember only the important things about these years
Like the people and live changing experiences
That make us who we are
Teenage years
by, Keely Stevenson
These are the best times of our lives
with beginning highschool
new friends
new drama
new enemies
many different emotions
some people will not know what to do
not feeling accepted
some will try to find an escape
drugs or alcohol
dealing with peer pressure both good and bad
making decisions
dealing with the consequences
some effecting our lives
choosing colleges
getting good grades
moving on towards life
becoming an adult while still being a kid
Teenagers
by Craddock
Our teenage years.
A transition time between
childhood and adulthood.
Free yet not so much.
Sometimes we feel enslaved.
Teenagers are naive,
some think they know all.
But they really don't.
They are in for quite a rude awakening.
Your teenage years are about learning.
Learning right from wrong,
and learning from your mistakes.
You must make mistakes in order to learn.
And by learning you become a better person.
And live to lead a healthy adulthood.
Thats what your teenage years
Are all about.
Teenage Years
By Nikolas Kessler
They make the choices that they think are right,
They might stay up late and party all night.
Some will do drugs and some will drink,
And most of the time they’ll act, and not think.
A few will stick up for what they feel,
And will try to live in a world that’s ideal.
They will be known as kids with good morality,
And will be able to live life facing reality.
Knowing that peers will make tough decisions,
And not everyone will have the exact same visions.
Oh No Here Come the Teenagers!
By Marissa Gomez
They’re moody!
They’re crazy!
They’re confused!
They’re in the middle!
They’re immature!
They’re inexperienced!
They’re unintelligent!
They’re always making mistakes!
OH NO! HERE COME THE TEENAGERS!!!
They’re funny!
They’re interesting!
They’re talkative!
They’re never boring!
They’re different!
They’re complicated!
They’re creative!
They’re always ready to have fun!
HEY! HERE COME THE TEENAGERS!!!
Teenagers are more complex than some adults may think.
Teenagers know more than adults think we do.
Teenagers are the adults of tomorrow.
Teenagers make a lot of mistakes, and we learn from them.
Teenagers are what we are, which is definitely unique.
WE ARE THE TEENAGERS!!!
Teens
By Brandon Goodreau
Growing up
Maturing into an adult
This what is expected of a teenager
Teenagers go through
Many difficult experiences
And grow into better people
Bodies growing through changes
Some good and some just weird
Parents get trouble from their
Teenage kids
But adults don't give us enough credit
We know a lot more than they think
As a teen we are so close
To being adults
With all the new experiences
Some teens
Are forced to grow up faster
But in the end all the growing up
Is such a great thing
For our later life
